Fabrazyme® Infusion Therapy

About Fabrazyme® Infusion Therapy

Fabrazyme® (agalsidase beta) is an FDA-approved enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) used to treat Fabry disease, a rare inherited lysosomal storage disorder. Fabrazyme® works by replacing the deficient or absent alpha-galactosidase A enzyme, helping to reduce the accumulation of globotriaosylceramide (GL-3) in the body's cells.

Condition treated by this therapy

  • Fabry disease (confirmed diagnosis)

Fabry disease is a rare X-linked lysosomal storage disorder caused by a deficiency of the enzyme alpha-galactosidase A. This leads to the progressive accumulation of GL-3 in cells throughout the body, affecting the kidneys, heart, nervous system, and skin.

Fabrazyme® is indicated for adult and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older with confirmed Fabry disease. By replacing the deficient enzyme, Fabrazyme® helps clear GL-3 deposits and slow disease progression.

Fabrazyme® Price

The out-of-pocket cost for Fabrazyme® will vary depending on your insurance coverage. If you have questions about your coverage, contact your insurance provider.

Many patients with commercial insurance may qualify for patient assistance programs through Sanofi Genzyme. For those without insurance, financial assistance options may be available. No patient should go without necessary treatment due to financial limitations. Contact a member of our Violet Health team for more information.
