About COAGADEX® Injection Therapy
COAGADEX® is a plasma-derived coagulation Factor X replacement therapy used to treat hereditary Factor X deficiency, a rare inherited bleeding disorder. People with this condition do not produce enough Factor X, an important clotting protein that helps stop bleeding after an injury.
Without adequate Factor X, bleeding episodes may occur more easily and may last longer than normal. COAGADEX® works by replacing the missing clotting factor, helping restore the body's natural ability to form stable blood clots and reduce the risk of bleeding.
Treatment may be prescribed on a regular schedule to help prevent bleeding episodes or administered as needed to control active bleeding or prepare for certain medical or dental procedures.

Conditions treated by this therapy
COAGADEX® is FDA-approved for patients with hereditary Factor X deficiency (also called Stuart-Prower factor deficiency) which is a rare genetic bleeding disorder. COAGADEX® may be prescribed for:
- Routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes
- On-demand treatment and control of bleeding episodes
- Perioperative management before, during, and after surgical or dental procedures
Your hematologist will determine the appropriate dosing schedule based on your Factor X levels, bleeding history, body weight, and individual treatment goals.

COAGADEX® Price
The cost of prescription medications can vary depending on your insurance coverage. If you're concerned about the price of your medication:
- Contact your insurance provider to understand your coverage
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist about lower-cost alternatives
- Check with the drug manufacturer about financial assistance programs
- Explore patient assistance options if you're uninsured or underinsured
Remember, many resources exist to help patients access necessary medications. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you're struggling with medication costs. No patient should go without necessary treatment due to financial limitations. If you have questions about financial assistance opportunities, contact a member of our Violet Health team.
