Polyneuropathy of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis Infusion Therapy
Hereditary transthyretin-mediated (hATTR) amyloidosis with polyneuropathy is a progressive, inherited condition caused by mutations in the TTR gene. These genetic variants cause the transthyretin protein produced in the liver to misfold and aggregate into toxic amyloid fibrils that deposit throughout peripheral nerves and organ systems.
Patients with hATTR polyneuropathy experience progressive sensory and motor nerve damage, starting with numbness, burning pain, and weakness in the feet and lower limbs, advancing to autonomic dysfunction, severe gastrointestinal issues, mobility impairment, and potential cardiac involvement.
At Violet Health, we offer disease-modifying biologic and RNA-silencing therapies such as ONPATTRO® (patisiran) to halt or slow disease progression. Our dedicated clinical team coordinates closely with your neurologist to provide pre-medication protocols, ongoing safety monitoring, and support in navigating copay and insurance assistance programs.
