About RYSTIGGO® Therapy
RYSTIGGO® (rozanolixizumab-noli) is a prescription medicine that targets harmful antibodies that attack the connection between your nerves and muscles. These antibodies are either anti-AChR or anti-MuSK antibodies block the signals that tell your muscles to move. Normally, your body has a protein called FcRn that acts like a recycling center for antibodies, keeping them in circulation longer. This is great for antibodies that protect your from infections, but it's a problem when it protects the harmful antibodies causing your muscle weakness.
How Rystiggo Helps
RYSTIGGO® blocks the FcRn protein, essentially shutting down the recycling center. Without this protection, those harmful antibodies break down naturally and leave your system. With fewer harmful antibibodies interfering, the signals between your nerves and muscles can get through better, helping reduce your muscle weakness and making everyday activities easier.
Condition treated by this therapy
RYSTIGGO® is an FDA approved medication used to treat the following conditions:
- Generalized myasthenia gravis
